Planning and Gathering Information: As with any construction project, the first step involves planning. Designers communicate with website owners to understand their needs, goals, target audience and desired features of their website. Once this information has been gathered, design team gathers additional details such as content features desired and overall feel desired by owner for site. Once designed and developed the next phase is set into motion.

By gathering all of this data, designers create a blueprint called a wireframe as a plan of the website layout. Next comes the design phase where actual colors, fonts, images and images are selected for making the site visually pleasing.

Testing and Launching: Prior to debuting its site online, testing must take place first. This involves checking for bugs, checking all buttons are working as expected and making sure it looks good across various devices (computers, tablets, phones etc).
